  • Masters Project - Electrical Analysis of Thin Film Solar Cells

  • Working closely with the team in the Stephenson Institute of Renewable Energy at the Uniersity of Liverpool, my project was to study various methods for characterising photovoltaic cells. This involved working with thin film Cadmium Telluride (CdTe) cells that had been produced in the university laboratory.

    I was responsible for my own development in learning the basics of characterization and then applying this to newly developed organic cell materials. These new materials are to try and lower the carbon footprint of cells whilst also reducing the cost of them. Understanding how to improve on these cells comes from their characterization.
